Season 2 Recap: Growth, Grit, and a Championship Finish for the Ages

A Note on the CB TOUR Championship Prize Fund

As we close the book on Season 2 of the Trillion Mortgage CB TOUR, we want to take a moment to address feedback we’ve received regarding the prize fund at the CB TOUR Championship.

While we’re incredibly proud of the growth and momentum of the tour this season, we also acknowledge that the payout at our final event didn’t meet the expectations some have come to associate with CB TOUR events. We want to be transparent about why that happened — and how we’re working to improve.

The CB TOUR Championship featured the lowest entry count of any event this season and, unlike our other stops, did not have a presenting sponsor. These two factors directly impacted the total prize fund, which landed at $14,600, with a low-to-cash line of $200 on a $165 entry.

For context, here are comparisons from earlier events:

  • Rumbi Island Grill Classic (RIGC): $18,135 prize fund | $275 low-to-cash | Sponsored

  • Coach K Scholarship Open (CKSO): $17,060 prize fund | $250 low-to-cash | Sponsored

  • CB Masters: $25,210 prize fund | $280 low-to-cash | Sponsored

  • Trillion Mortgage Open (TMO): $22,000 prize fund | $320 low-to-cash | Record entries + sponsorship

The reality is, sponsorship matters. And we’re committed to securing dedicated event sponsors for every stop in Season 3 to prevent these kinds of inconsistencies.

Even with this isolated dip, Season 2 marked a significant leap forward: more than $97,000 in total prize fund payouts — a 45% increase over Season 1 — and over $125,000 awarded when including side events, Challenge Series payouts, and youth scholarships. In all five events, cashers earned back more than their initial entry — something we remain proud of.

We also want to extend our sincerest appreciation to Josh Groves and the entire team at Westy’s Garden Lanes for their incredible support in hosting the CB TOUR Championship. Josh’s belief in what we’re building was instrumental in bringing the event to Boise, and we’re thrilled to share that Westy’s is committed to hosting again next season — with plans already in motion to secure partners and sponsors to elevate the experience even further.

🎉 Congratulations to:

  • 🏆 Morgan Robinson – CB TOUR Season 2 Points Champion

  • 🎳 Alex Hoskins – CB TOUR Championship Winner

  • 👦 Ryder Hudson – Junior Series Boys Points Champion

  • 👧 Riley Blair – Junior Series Girls Points Champion

  • 👥 Andy Kinney & Tyler Lopez – Shootout Doubles Champions

That said, we’re not satisfied yet. We’ll be spending the offseason brainstorming new models, testing formats, and exploring fresh ideas to ensure every event meets the standards of excellence we hold ourselves to — and that our bowlers deserve.

We hope the community sees the effort, passion, and transparency we bring to this endeavor. We’ve come a long way in just two years, and with your support, we’re ready to go even further.

Now, let’s celebrate what made Season 2 unforgettable 👇

Season 2 Recap: Growth, Grit, and a Championship Finish for the Ages

Season 2 of the Trillion Mortgage CB TOUR is officially in the books — and what a ride it was.

From start to finish, this season brought higher stakes, bigger fields, and some of the most dramatic moments in CB TOUR history. As we reflect on what this year meant for Championship Bowling and the future of the tour, one thing is clear: Season 2 wasn't just a step forward — it was a leap.

🌍 Growth Across the Board

  • Five packed tournaments, including the return of fan-favorites like Sparetime and brand new stops like Westy’s Garden Lanes in Boise.

  • $97,000 paid out in prize funds — a 45% increase over Season 1, and over $125,000 total paid including side events, Challenge Series payouts, and youth scholarships.

  • The most international presence ever, including debuts from PBA and PBA International pros like Richie Teece and Tomas Käyhkö.

  • Youth impact like never before, with juniors making deep bracket runs and taking home hardware in front of packed crowds.

🏆 The Tour Championship: A Final Chapter Worthy of the Season

Held at Westy’s Garden Lanes in Boise, Idaho — and for the first time on an AMF lane surface — the 2025 CB TOUR Championship was a showdown for the ages. The 45-foot, 29 mL Kegel pattern proved to be a balanced test that rewarded precision, power, and the ability to adapt.

🎳 Alex Hoskins did what he does best — win when it matters most. He swept Andy Kinney in the finals to claim his record third CB TOUR title and leap into the top 5 in points. The match came down to the 10th frame of Game 2. Andy needed an 8-spare-strike to force a tie. He got 7. Alex walked away with the title — and another piece of CB TOUR history.

🔥 Cameron Henning put on an all-time performance:

  • Tied the 3-game record with 813

  • Set the new 4-game record at 1082

  • Added a 5-game qualifying record at 1298

  • Finished with a jaw-dropping 9-game total of 2214 Cameron would finish 3rd overall, but not without rewriting the stat book along the way.

🎯 Morgan Robinson claimed the Season 2 Points Championship, locking it up when Giorgio Clinaz fell to Junior Series bowler Ryder Hudson in Round 1. Morgan had earned a bye, and with Gio’s loss, the points race was over. Morgan’s season included a win at the Trillion Mortgage Open, a 3rd place finish at the CB Masters, and a perfect 300 game at the Championship.

💎 Other Highlights from the Championship

  • Ryder Hudson and Riley Blair took home the Junior Series championships, with Ryder also knocking out the #3 seed in Round 1.

  • Duncan Whitaker and Ryder Hudson joined Morgan in rolling perfect games during qualifying.

  • Andy Kinney, despite the heartbreaking final frame, notched his first top-2 finish of the season and locked in a top-10 spot in points.

🏁 Final Points Standings: Top 5

  1. Morgan Robinson – 3,585 points | $2,000

  2. Luke Brown – 3,237 points | $1,250

  3. Giorgio Clinaz – 2,670 points | $900

  4. Steve Kloempken – 2,630 points | $700

  5. Alex Hoskins – 2,585 points | $550

Full points breakdown and prize fund were awarded to the top 16 finishers.

🚀 Season 3: The Road Ahead

Season 3 planning is already in motion, and the first three events are locked in. But we’re just getting started.

We’re actively exploring new markets, venues, and formats — and we’re committed to doing things that haven’t been done before in competitive bowling. That means smarter production, bold ideas around gameplay and presentation, and continuing to push the envelope in how we connect with fans, bowlers, and sponsors alike.

What Season 2 proved more than anything is that the CB TOUR is not just a tournament series — it’s a growing movement with the power to reshape what professional-style bowling can look and feel like.

We’re going to keep building. Keep listening. Keep improving.

The possibilities are endless. And we’re not slowing down anytime soon.
