The Stage Is Set: CB TOUR Championship Weekend Is Here

Season 2 of the Trillion Mortgage CB TOUR has been nothing short of spectacular. From new venues and massive fields to rising stars and returning champions, this season marked a giant leap forward for Championship Bowling — and it all comes down to one final weekend.

It feels like just yesterday we were wrapping up Season 1 in Reno, where Kendle Miles delivered one of the most clutch finishes in CB TOUR history. Trailing in the points heading into the CB TOUR Championship, Kendle needed to win the tournament to leapfrog Alex Hoskins for the title. In an epic semifinal against Darren Tang, Kendle struck in the 10th to force a rolloff — then stepped up and threw a strike to win the match, the event, and the CB TOUR Points Championship in a single frame. It was bowling drama at its finest.

And Season 2 has lived up to that legacy.

🏆 Morgan Robinson made a splash in his debut season with a win at the Trillion Mortgage Open, followed by a third-place finish at the CB Masters — firmly planting himself in the points race.

🔥 Yannick Roos dominated the bracket at the HowToBowl CB Masters, taking home his first CB TOUR title in front of a packed house at Sparetime Lanes.

📈 Luke Brown has been a model of consistency all year long, racking up top-5 finishes and sitting atop the points standings with one event to go.

🎯 And at the Rumbi island Grill Classic, international pros like Tomas Käyhkö and Richie Teece joined the mix, showcasing just how far the CB TOUR has come — drawing talent from around the world.

Now, with Season 2 about to reach its conclusion at Westy’s Garden Lanes in Boise, we find ourselves in another thrilling race for the title. New names have emerged, veterans have stepped up, and the competition has never been tighter. The CB TOUR Championship is not a major, but it might be the most meaningful event on the calendar — because it’s where legacies are cemented and champions are crowned.

Whether you're chasing the $3,000 first-place prize, battling for the season points fund, or looking to make a statement before Season 3, this weekend is everything. The pattern is long, the pressure is real, and the field is absolutely stacked.

Let’s break down the top contenders headed into Boise — the bowlers who’ve defined this season, and the ones who could change everything with one final run.

14. Daria Pajak While Daria Pajak hasn’t had the breakout CB TOUR season she’s capable of, she enters the Tour Championship as a proven threat with high-level experience and a past history of success in tough environments. A mainstay on the international and PWBA circuits, Daria’s elite fundamentals and mental toughness are always on display—even when the results don’t reflect her talent.

She’s still searching for her first cash of the CB TOUR season, but this weekend’s setting at Westy’s Garden Lanes in Boise could be the reset she needs. With its AMF lane surface—making its CB TOUR debut this season—and a 45-foot Kegel pattern on deck, players will face a new challenge that levels the playing field. For Daria, who excels on longer, flatter patterns, this shift could work in her favor.

Her ability to control the pocket and stay patient in lower-scoring environments gives her a puncher’s chance at a deep run—especially if she can survive the first few rounds and let her experience take over in match play. Daria may come into the finale under the radar, but don’t count her out. With nothing to lose and a proven résumé, she’s the kind of player who could flip the script on the entire bracket.

13. Duncan Whitaker Duncan Whitaker made a serious impression at the Rumbi Island Grill Classic, storming his way to a 5th-place finish and proving that he belongs in the conversation with the CB TOUR’s top-tier talent. It was his deepest run on tour so far, and it couldn’t have come at a better time with the season finale now on deck.

While Duncan isn’t in the Points Championship conversation, his recent surge puts him firmly in the mix to play spoiler in Boise. Westy’s Garden Lanes will offer a fresh challenge for the entire field, marking the first time this season the CB TOUR has competed on an AMF lane surface. Combine that with a 45-foot Kegel oil pattern and you have the kind of environment that rewards shot-makers and those who can stay ahead of the transition.

Duncan’s blend of solid fundamentals and calm under pressure will be key this weekend. If he can carry the momentum from his RIGC performance and get comfortable early on this unfamiliar surface, he has every tool to make another deep bracket run. He may not have the accolades of some of the names above him, but he’s got the game—and the confidence—to cause problems for anyone in his path.

12. Brody Chatterton Brody Chatterton turned a lot of heads at the RIGC, leading qualifying and earning a first-round bye in the bracket finals. Though his run ended with a tough loss to Luke Brown, the message was clear—Brody belongs with the best on tour.

That breakout performance puts him in a great position heading into the CB TOUR Championship. Westy’s Garden Lanes will feature a 45-foot pattern on an AMF surface—the first time we’ve bowled on this surface all season. With everyone starting from square one, Brody’s ability to control ball motion and stay ahead of transitions could prove to be a major advantage.

What’s most impressive is the poise he showed under pressure at the RIGC. Leading qualifying on the shortest pattern the CB TOUR has ever used shows a level of versatility that’s rare, especially from someone who hasn’t been in the spotlight all year. If he can bring that same fire into Boise and navigate the long oil and fresh surface, Brody could be right back in the mix—only this time, he’s aiming to finish the job.

11. Cameron Henning Cameron Henning opened the CB TOUR season with a ton of momentum, finishing 10th at the Trillion Mortgage Open and 8th at the CB Masters—both events contested on 43-foot patterns where his look seemed dialed in. Since then, he’s struggled to find footing, finishing 35th on the 48-foot CKSO and 41st on the brutally short 36-foot pattern at the RIGC.

This weekend’s 45-foot pattern could be the sweet spot for Cameron to get back on track. He’s shown this season that when the shape is right, he’s a bracket threat. If he can recapture that early-season form, he’s more than capable of making a deep run—and potentially salvaging a strong overall finish in the points standings.

 10. Kyle Morrison

Quietly consistent, Kyle Morrison enters the CB TOUR Championship with a steady résumé that has kept him in the top half of the standings all season long. With finishes of 15th, 18th, and 48th, Kyle has demonstrated he can stay competitive across a wide variety of lane conditions—though he’s yet to put together that breakout performance.

He elected to skip the RIGC, which may give him a fresh perspective heading into the final event. The 45-foot, 29 mL pattern this weekend could be just what he needs to regain early-season form and make a run.

While Kyle sits just outside the top tier of point earners, a strong showing in Boise could propel him up the standings and into a much more lucrative spot in the season-end points payout. With the field tightening and the pressure rising, the question is whether he can put together one final strong run when it matters most.

9. Ernesto Reynoso

In his lone CB TOUR appearance this season, Ernesto Reynoso made a big impression. At the Coach K Scholarship Open, he battled through qualifying and the cashers round to earn a spot in the bracket finals—only to fall heartbreakingly short in a rolloff, finishing 16th.

That finish earned him instant respect and showed he can hang with the best on tour. Now, he returns for the CB TOUR Championship with unfinished business. The 45-foot pattern this weekend is long enough to let Ernesto open up his game, and with the format mirroring the CKSO, he knows exactly what to expect.

Despite being newer to the CB TOUR scene, Ernesto’s high-level experience and ability to perform under pressure make him a dangerous wildcard. If he gets off to a hot start in qualifying, it could be a very long—and successful—Sunday for him in Boise.

8. Manny Ferrell

Manny Ferrell has quietly built one of the most complete résumés on tour this season. After a strong showing at the Coach K Scholarship Open, where he finished 21st, Manny followed that up with a breakout performance at the Rumbi Island Grill Classic, where he showed just how well his game plays on short patterns. But more importantly, he’s riding serious momentum after recently winning the RPI in Reno—proving he can finish on the biggest stages.

His style is well-suited to the 45-foot condition awaiting players at Westy’s Garden Lanes for the CB TOUR Championship. This length allows him to control the pocket without sacrificing hitting power, which has been key to his late-season rise.

He may not be in the points race, but Manny is still very much a threat to win this event outright. If he can get off to a solid start in qualifying, his ability to grind through a bracket could carry him deep into Sunday. Manny’s game is peaking at the right time—and this weekend could be the perfect storm.

7. Riley Woodard

Riley Woodard has quietly put together one of the strongest resumes this season—when he bowls, he performs.

With finishes of 9th, 8th, and 4th in his three CB TOUR starts, Riley has proven that he’s a consistent threat in any field. His 4th-place finish at the Rumbi Island Grill Classic added to his already impressive year and helped vault him into the top 10 in the points standings, despite missing the CB Masters.

While he chose not to compete in the 3rd/4th place match in Ogden, his run through qualifying and the bracket proved his ability to thrive in tough conditions. Heading into the CB TOUR Championship, Riley is still searching for his first tour title—but make no mistake, he's been trending upward all season.

This week’s 45-foot, 29 mL Kegel pattern at Westy’s Garden Lanes could suit his game well. Riley has the tools to play straighter through transition and manage tricky topography, which could be a big factor on this AMF surface.

With one more deep run, he’s not only a legitimate contender for the tournament win—but also for a strong points payout at season’s end. Keep an eye on Riley this weekend. He’s been knocking on the door all season, and the CB TOUR Championship might just be the moment it finally swings open.

6. Yannick Roos

Yannick Roos made a massive statement early in the season by winning the HowToBowl CB Masters, the lone major on the CB TOUR schedule. That dominant performance at Sparetime Lanes—on a challenging pattern and under the pressure of the tour’s biggest stage—firmly established him as one of the most dangerous players on the circuit.

Since that win, though, Yannick has faced some ups and downs. He missed the cut at the Coach K Scholarship Open, then followed with an 18th-place finish at the Rumbi Island Grill Classic—a result that left him disappointed but still very much in the hunt. He currently sits 5th in the CB TOUR points standings, and mathematically still has a shot at the title with a big weekend and help from the field.

The CB TOUR Championship pattern sits right in the middle at 45 feet, offering a bit more balance than the extremes we’ve seen lately. That could benefit a versatile player like Yannick, who has shown the ability to succeed on both long and medium-distance patterns. With a points prize fund on the line and a tour championship still within reach, you can count on Yannick to come out with something to prove.

If he gets back to the form that won him a major, the rest of the field should take notice—because few are as dangerous in match play as Roos when he gets locked in.

5. Morgan Robinson

Morgan Robinson enters the CB TOUR Championship as one of the most successful and consistent players of the 2025 season. With a win at the Trillion Mortgage Open, a 3rd-place finish at the CB Masters, and a 6th-place run at the RIGC, he’s been a staple in the top 10 and currently sits 2nd in the CB TOUR points standings.

There’s still a path to the points title for Morgan—though it won’t be easy. If he wins the event and picks up some bonus points (through the Shootout Doubles or a 300 game), he could surpass Luke Brown if Luke finishes outside the top 4. It’s a tall order, but Morgan has shown all season that he thrives in pressure situations.

This weekend, the tour heads to Westy’s Garden Lanes—a center often considered favorable for lefties. That could play right into Morgan’s hands, especially on a 45-foot pattern that demands shot-making and precision. His ability to manage transition and keep his angles tight gives him a real chance to capitalize on the center’s reputation and make another deep bracket run.

Morgan’s already cemented himself as one of the breakout stars of Season 2. Now, he has the chance to end the year with a championship title and a potential points crown. If he finds his look early in qualifying, he’ll be one of the favorites to close out the season with a bang.

4. Luke Brown

Luke Brown leads the 2025 CB TOUR points standings with 3,250 points, but the season finale at the CB TOUR Championship will determine whether he can hang on and claim the title. With Morgan Robinson, Giorgio Clinaz, Steve Kloempken, and Yannick Roos all mathematically in the hunt, Luke will need a strong weekend in Boise to finish what he started.

His season has been built on consistency: 3rd at the Trillion Mortgage Open, 5th at the CB Masters, 7th at the Coach K Scholarship Open, and another 3rd-place finish at the RIGC—but that last one didn’t come easy. Luke struggled during his first few qualifying squads at the RIGC and found himself in danger of missing the cut entirely. But on his final attempt, he punched his ticket into the bracket, then rattled off a series of wins before falling in the semifinals.

Luke’s ability to grind through adversity is exactly what makes him dangerous, especially in the high-pressure environment of a bracket format. He has yet to win a CB TOUR title, but if there's ever been a time to break through, it's now. With a sizable—but not secure—lead in the points race, all eyes will be on Luke to see if he can shut the door on the competition and claim both a title and the $2,000 points crown.

The 45-foot Kegel pattern at Westy’s Garden Lanes—a venue known to favor bowlers who can manage transition and stay clean—will present its own set of challenges. Luke has proven he can adapt across a range of patterns. The question is, can he do it one more time with everything on the line?

3. Alex Hoskins

Few bowlers on the CB TOUR command as much respect as Alex Hoskins. A multiple-time champion and one of the most accomplished players in tour history, Alex has proven time and time again that he can rise to any occasion. And after a CB TOUR season that started slow due to injury, it looks like he’s found his rhythm just in time for the CB TOUR Championship.

His season finishes — 59th at the TMO, 6th at the CB Masters, 10th at the CKSO, and 14th at the RIGC — don’t fully tell the story. After battling through injury in the early part of the season, Alex has steadily improved with each event, and he’s been knocking on the door of another deep bracket run. At the RIGC, he looked sharp through qualifying and earned a solid seed heading into match play, ultimately falling just shy of another top 10.

We know what Hoskins can do in this format. He’s lethal in brackets, thrives under pressure, and has arguably one of the most complete arsenals on tour. The 45-foot pattern at Westy’s Garden Lanes should suit his game, especially as he’s shown the ability to play multiple zones and adjust with precision. While a points title may be out of reach this season, don’t be surprised if he ends the year with another CB TOUR title — and a big check to go with it.

Alex always shows up when the lights are brightest. This weekend should be no different.

2. Steve Kloempken

One of the most respected figures in the sport, Steve Kloempken brings a rare combination of experience, versatility, and competitive fire to the CB TOUR. Currently sitting 4th in the points standings, Steve has been a picture of consistency all season long with finishes of 17th at the TMO, 7th at the CB Masters, 2nd at the CKSO, and 9th at the RIGC. His runner-up finish at the CKSO came down to just a few pins, and many would argue he’s overdue for his first CB TOUR title.

This week, the CB TOUR Championship returns to Westy’s Garden Lanes — a place Steve knows better than most. He has multiple wins in this very bowling center from other tours and tournaments, and it’s one of the few venues on tour where he enters with a strong home-lane advantage. That comfort level, combined with his tactical IQ and elite spare shooting, could prove to be the edge he needs.

The 45-foot pattern will demand control and transition management — two of Steve’s biggest strengths. He’s thrived on tougher conditions all season, and few bowlers on tour match his ability to strategize through a tournament weekend.

Don’t let his calm demeanor fool you. Steve is hungry. With a legitimate shot at finishing inside the top 3 in points and a wide-open field for the title, he may just close the season the way many have been expecting all year — with a trophy in hand.

1. Giorgio Clinaz

Fresh off his win at the Rumbi Island Grill Classic, Giorgio Clinaz rolls into the CB TOUR Championship with all the momentum in the world. Sitting 3rd in the CB TOUR points standings, Gio is firmly in the hunt for the season-long title and could take the crown with the right combination of a high finish and bonus points.

His season has been marked by consistency at the top: 5th at the Trillion Mortgage Open, 11th at the CB Masters, and a breakthrough victory at the RIGC. The only blemish on his résumé was a missed cut at the CKSO, where he finished 40th.

But what really makes Gio dangerous this weekend is the venue. Westy’s Garden Lanes has been good to him—Clinaz owns multiple wins in this center, and he always seems to elevate his game here. His confidence on this surface, paired with the 45-foot Kegel pattern, positions him as one of the top contenders to close out the season on a high note.

Gio hasn’t yet claimed the season points title or a CB TOUR Championship win—but both are on the table this weekend. With his recent form and history in Boise, don’t be surprised if Clinaz adds another banner performance to his already stacked season.

Final Frames Ahead

The CB TOUR Championship isn’t just the last tournament of the season — it’s the last chance for players to define their 2025 narrative. For some, it’s about chasing a championship. For others, it’s about redemption. And for many, it’s about proving they belong in the conversation.

While only a handful of bowlers remain mathematically alive for the Points Championship, there’s still plenty on the line. The Top 16 in the standings will earn a cut of the $8,000+ points prize fund, with payouts ranging from $2,000 for first all the way to $125 for 16th. Every spare, every double, every rolloff matters.
